1937-2057
by Bob Young
This is my story and I have tried to tell it just as I lived it. With the intermingling of ordinary day‐to‐day life, exciting events, friends, education, gymnastics, Love, Family, Technology, politics but most of all, humour, all of which made “Living in Australia, 1937 to 2057” so rewarding.
The overriding theme of the story is about my career as a radio control specialist, beginning with R/C models and progressing into commercial R/C and finally into Drones and autonomous flight. Commercial R/C encompasses such things as R/C full size automobiles, Boom Pumps, Film Robots and an array of other commercial projects.
Astute readers will have picked up on the unusual title, which is based on the Biblical passage, Genesis 6:3 (KJB), giving man’s life span as 120 years. I am planning to live to 120 as I want to see the first McDonald's open up on Mars.
