Margaret holds a degree in Economics from the University of Queensland as well as a teaching diploma. After working briefly in teaching, her career has been in senior administration and management, 24 years at The University of Sydney, and more recently overseeing the administration of a Fine Art Auction House, before taking early retirement in 2005. Cremorne1.com Self-Publishing commenced operation in 2005, to utilize the administrative and organizational skills and industry contacts which Margaret developed during her career and in publishing her own books. Margaret enjoys helping others to produce their book as a publication of exceptional presentation and quality - at a price which makes it more than feasible. Details of works recently published through cremorne1.com can be found in Recent Titles.
Family History has always been Margaret's consuming passion and over the last few years, her research has reached its fulfilment with the publication of eight of her own family histories - the stories of her different ancestral families - and three family memoirs. Her family history, "Limerick to Queensland: The Kearney Family Story", published in 2006, was awarded Second Place in the 2007 QFHS Family History Book Awards, described by the Judges as "a significant history for Queensland".
