This family history traces the Woolcott family roots, with each generation back in the male line, starting in Australia with Elizabeth Woolcott, who, as a widow, immigrated with her surviving children to Melbourne in 1852, with the stories of four generations of her family in Australia, children and descendants.
The story then turns to the Woolcott ancestry in England with the history prior to 1770 presenting what is believed to be the most likely lineage, back to the earliest known ancestor in 1238 on ‘Woolacott Farm' in Thrushelton, in West Devon.
