This publication addresses the question of “Wellbeing in Ageing” from a broad perspective. It aims to place the question in an historic, basic principles, and practical setting. The source material is taken from Talks and Lectures delivered over a number of years.
The author, George M. Stathers, is a Sydney-based Geriatrician and a conjoint Senior Lecturer at UNSW. He was instrumental in developing “Southcare”, an integrated community and hospital based aged care programme at the Sutherland Hospital, Sydney.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Australia Association of Gerontology. He was awarded an OAM in 2002.
