The recollections of a former Mayor of Willoughby about the major changes undertaken by Willoughby Council during his years on Council from 1969 to 1991 as an Alderman/ Councillor and later as Mayor, with many achievements for the community culminating in Willoughby’s elevation to City status. Also, includes the oral history interview of Mary Reidy, Willoughby’s Mayoress.
Transcribed from the tapes of oral history interviews made in 1996 and 1997 after his retirement. The original tapes and a copy of these published transcriptions are held in Willoughby City Library, Chatswood.
