A Memoir
by Lesia Hancock (Safianyk)

The stories include her mother Maria’s life in Ukraine and her recollections of WWII, when, as a 17-year-old, she was sent to Germany to work as forced rural labour. After the war, Maria moved to England where she married. Lesia and her sister later settled in Australia.
