Tom Lawson
This is a collection of photographs of the Lawson family, relatives and friends accumulated over a period of 30 years, to accompany my second memoir of my life in Australia from 1972 until 2000. My first memoir told of my Scottish Years, 1942 to 1972. This album begins with some early photos of Maralyn and me when we first met in 1971, and then chronicles our lives together from 1972 to 2000. Maralyn and I met in Norway in 1971 before I followed her to Australia and married her in 1972. We lived in Melbourne until 1976, and Andrew and Duncan were born there. My work then took us to Sydney, and we moved to Greenwich in early 1977. Penny was born in 1978.
During this 30-year period, I took many photographs with a 35mm SLR camera and accumulated box-loads of colour prints, the best of which have been mailed to our families and filed in traditional photo albums. I thought it might amuse my grandchildren if I incorporated these into a photobook.
