Don't Fence Me In

A Memoir

by Patricia Rashleigh-Winston

DON'T FENCE ME IN

Patricia grew up in Viti Levu (Fiji), where her father was a pharmacist for CSR's Fiji operations. On the family's return to Sydney, she began her training as an Occupational Therapist before deciding to join friends sailing to England. They then travelled around Europe and Scandinavia. She later sailed to the USA where she worked in Bellevue Hospital, New York, then travelled across the USA and into Mexico where she met Lee Harvey Oswald shortly before he assassinated John F Kennedy. Patricia settled for some years in San Diego, California, where she enjoyed the single life and great friendships.

Returning to Sydney, she worked in various hospitals, utilising her professional expertise to set up valuable patient programs. Over the years, Patricia’s love of travel took her to many parts of the world, with regular trips back to the United States.

Published privately in paperback in 2020. 262 pages, with many colour images.
