EARLY BUSH REGENERATION IN LANE COVE

This story has been written to document some of the early years of bush regeneration in Lane Cove (Sydney NSW), and what that work achieved. It comprises a short account of the formation of the Lane Cove Bush Regenerators Co-operative Ltd, and a record of work done in each of four Lane Cove reserves (Batten, Gore Creek, Hartman Hill and Hands Quarry) by the Co-op between 1992 and 2007. Written by Sheila Walkerden with input from other former members of the Co-op.

“We could see that more work was needed, and that it was transformative in the bush. We also really liked doing it, loved learning about the bush, and enjoyed the spirit of Collegiality in the Co-op.”
