A Memoir
by Patricia Liddell
“Then there will be nothing that I know
“My mind will fold into itself, like fields, like snow”
Phillip Larkin, ‘The Winter Palace’ (1978)
Cognitive impairment can be due to many factors and can occur at any age. It is increasing in the aging population due to advances in medicine which enable us to live longer. It is heartbreaking to watch a loved one slowly drift away into world no matter what their age.
Fragments From A Marriage is the story of Patricia Liddell’s loss as Robert Ian Liddell, her beloved husband and soul mate, slowly drifted away due to a brain tumour at a relatively young age.
It includes flashbacks of adventures shared.
