A biography of Leslie Thomas Alexander (Les) Lees (1913-1984) from Bogan Gate near Parkes NSW, his life story with details of his AIF service during World War II in the Middle East and Papua New Guinea.

Les' War diaries are included in full to share his day-to-day war experience with his many photographs taken during the war, together with Les' poetry and other collected poems written by his fellow soldiers.
