... and other Borthwick family history accounts
by Lynne Borthwick and Sally Cousens
THE BORTHWICK SAGA, written by Lynne Borthwick, is family history, partly told to Lynne by her mother Maude Borthwick, and partly her own memories of her childhood. She finishes the Saga with her wedding when, in a way, her childhood was officially over.
Also included are memories of Lynne’s sister Ayesha and her niece Tony Blomfield (nee Borthwick), and notes written by Lynne’s older sister, Eleanor Francis (Molly) in the 1960s about her visits to Scotland and the research she did into the Borthwick ancestry.
A small portion of the Borthwick Family Tree is included as well as some lists of the Borthwick family's extended family and friends which relate to the people mentioned in the book.
This book has been lovingly complied with gentle edits by Lynne’s granddaughter, Sally Cousens.
